New wheel fitting tool...

... much better than the cr**py plastic one that comes with the car. And it's aluminium too!:)
It's a Merc tool, apparently, and just a few quid on flea bay - sorry about the lousy photo, but you get the idea. |
That's why it's Mercedes

A piece of Merc that won't rust :D

Guys,.
I do completely judge your assessment. I'm noticing that on Tire rack when I am searching by vehicle it is showing wheels with wheels ranging from 38mm offset to 43mm offset. Nothing above 45mm? Cash for Old Cars Brisbane |
this is set to be quite funny
I think photos with Bird's custard are about to be called for Or maybe the wife's high heels |

Does anyone have a Merc part number to search on ebay for one of these?
Struggling for search terms that don't bring up 1,000s of results! Closest I've got is this one which looks up to the task http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2520890222...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT |

Because it is made of metal I'm worried that it can scratch paint in the wheel hole when the wheel hangs on it and promote corrosion.

I learnt the hard way as when I replaced my brakes I didn't know about this tool and had to resort to calling her indoors to come and put her foot on the brake so I could put the bloody wheel on without the disc moving! Still didn't stop the hub from rotating:(
Once I found that there was a tool in the tool tray I went out to check but as it happens, it was broke! Would not have this problem if Audi would just use disc screws :tuttut: bought one from eBay, I think it's a draper brand! |
