Help with vcds postcode RG14 2DG
 

Please can anybody help a friend with a 1.4 petrol vw golf with vcds
she keeps being ripped off and needs help
i would but i am 300 miles away
just needs diagnosing please

I'm less than a mile away today with work, but sadly not in the car and hence no VCDS with me :mad:

If you don't get a quick diagnosis I'll likely be down again in the coming weeks and months!

That's 80-odd miles from me, unfortunately. Not sure if there's anyone around that way now? Neil may be closest in Swindon!

Does the car drive or is it off the road?
looks like its Newbury, which I do go past, but normally I'm either going to pick people up or drop them off in London or the Airports!

pretty urgent but i think she does 100 miles a day so needs sorting
im talking to her this weekend by phone for an update
she has had the car 1 week from a dealer and the eml light came on and said
EMISSIONS WORKSHOP
and shes panicking

Is that not a warranty problem for the dealer to sort?

Just a thought - wouldn’t it be easier and quicker to name a town? I know where most major towns are in the UK, but certainly not most of the post codes so, unless I take the trouble to look it up, I don’t know where this is. Just a suggestion that might increase response. Or maybe you young folk know the post codes like you know your height in metres, weight in kilos and fuel economy in kilometres per litre! :)

yes Newbury
its a 120 mile round trip to the dealer and she does not have time and i dont think they will have vcds (curbside motors) and so may have to leave the car
and thats no good to her
