Flared wheel arches

I stumbled across this flared fenders D2 and wondering if anyone here have more information on this car? as I don't have facebook.

Not that particular car (not seen it before) but a friend from Germany called Stefan has a flared arch D2 also - pics attached +++

There’s a chance I will need to get my arches widened/flared/pulled if I go ahead with my next phase of the S8.....my biggest obstacle is motivation :rolleyes:

We will see. Probably next year if I go ahead with it.

I thought ‘fenders’ were bumpers in UK speak. Are we talking bumpers or wheel arches?

I didn't know that but I'm referring to the wheel arches.

That was my thought as well. However, after delving into YouTube for how to do it, there are lots of videos from the other side of the pond all referring to the wheel arches as fenders. Here is one example:
