When I passed my test [1986] my "A" registered Mazda 626 1.6 [my Dad's old Company Car that he bought off them for me] was only £110 +++ :)
And when Mrs Cozza passed her test [1991] her "Y" registered 1982 1.3 Polo was only £95! [She told me in March]

You can easily add another 0 on the end of that, you won't get insurance for any car for much less than £2k per annum at that age.

Me and Mrs Cozza will get a bit pee'd off by that

Joel [my lad] is always "boasting" over a Audi A8 4.2 Quattro LPG he found in Preston for under £5,000 :D

I checked on my iPhone about how much the insurance will be, and it was £950 :(

Right then ;)

Lucy came up to me just now, still in her clothes and UGGS after returning from her friend's birthday party, and said: "Dad, if money was no object I'd buy a new VW Beetle 2.5 62 plate :D"

I said: "Stick with your Audi 1.6 you and Joel want to get :p:D"

You could offer a straight 5k for this:

2004 '54 Audi A3 1.6 FSI Sportback SE, 73k, Full Service History £5,495.00:

Loving the detail you put in to your posts, Coza.

We know your and your son/daughter's DOB and middle names, the month your wife told you something, her occupation and favourite shoe type, what your daughter was wearing this evening and where you shopped and what you bought, and that's just scratching the surface. Brilliant. Welcome to the forum from me. ++++++

One that looks vaguely like this as that's the only way you'll insure them:

Cheap petrol or diesel A3 or A2 for an Audi

TBH, I'd look at something in the group 3-4 category for insurance to keep it down for at least the first year.
