I guarantee you won’t find another one with options it has. S8 bits obviously matter of taste, but I like s8 looks with diesel economy, and I wouldn’t find an s8 with spec nearly as good. Anyway - good luck with your search +++

It is a lovely car, we had a good look at it when we met near Excel this year - if it was a LWB I'd be zooming across to have another look at it and consider buying it, or if I just wanted one personal car, it is superbly spec-ced +++

I know it's a D3 TDI, but a really good one, and one of the last runs - would you be interested? I'm getting closer to this no longer being a feeler.

I had a Jaguar XF (2015 XF R-Sport Black edition) which has just gone back after a 3 year lease. It has the 2.2 200bhp diesel engine and it was pretty good to be honest and pretty frugal to run. It's pretty well specced and I would recommend it. Plus for a £40k car 3 years ago you could probably pick one up for around £15k now with about 35k on the clock.

Jaguar XE was the main contender when we finally chose the Volvo V40.
There's a big surplus of Diesels in Jaguars recent (2yrs+) production so if diesel suits you there are loads of used ones around at a very good price.

For us, the likely high percentage of short local journeys mandated petrol.

Jaguar is on my shortlist, but they don't really do it for me, maybe I'm just not old enough :ROFL:
