Sending small package to Germany economically
Just tapping into the general wisdom here.
I need to send a small package (electronic item) to Germany and it must be tracked with delivery confirmation. It's not worth much and not urgent so I don't want to spend a lot. It's small, would fit easily into a box 15*10*5cm, and weighs under 100gm packaged. The likes of DHL want about £30 which wouldn't be worth doing at all. Are there decent/recommended alternatives? £5 would be great, £10 just about acceptable. Edit: It does need to be sent this week, so I can't wait for possible help from German visitors to our annual meet. |
Not sure about prices to send things abroad, but these guys have been useful when I needed to send stuff within UK, fairly easily tailored to specific requirements too +++

What about Royal Mail? They have an International Tracked & Signed option with cover up to £50. Costs less than a £10.

We use parceltogo.om for our oddball overseas stuff. Their rates are sometimes amazingly low

Hi Andrew
I send things daily to many corners of the world and for small non-valuable items, Royal Mail is your answer. You've got: International Signed-For International Tracked International Tracked and Signed Tracked and Signed for Germany should be around £9.05 for a non-account holder. Try here: https://www.royalmail.com/germany |
Thanks all for your input, I'm going for the £9.05 Royal Mail option. +++
