Anyone use a Galaxy S7?
 

As above, mine refuses to work with the car these days and I'm trying to determine if its the phone or the car.

I can make and recieve calls and hear the audio but for some reason the mic doesn't work and they cant hear me. :Confused:

No faults stored in phone module either.

You might need to setup a call and then check that the microphone source is set correctly on the phone. I sometimes get weird issues answering a call through my bluetooth headphones, where it doesn't automatically select the headphones as the source.

My wife has an S7 and it seems to work OK with the S5, but I know these connections can be a bit temperamental

Thanks Adrian, don't know of the top of your head where i'd find them settings?

I'll have to remind myself when the wife is home - on an iphone it just comes up on the phone screen as one of the hot options once a call connection is made

I'll have a fiddle later when the car / wife comes back.

I'll also try her iphone to see if the car or phone is the root of the issue

Shows live data for all the phone's sensors so maybe the mic sensors are included too.

I just went out to the car and its doing the same thing with Iphone so its car related, It appears that the mic and audio output cut at the same time.

There are no faults logged with the phone module.

Also the speech system doesn't seem to work either and may be related but again no errors in modules :Confused:

To update this and see if anyone can cast some light into my drakness, Marcin was kind enough to send me a roof control module to test, it didn't make any difference.

So where do I go next?

Have a look at the video to see what the phone is doing during a call.

It could be either BT or MMI console or ECU.
I have a spare BT module, but bricked, which I could send to Del for testing, so the question to every one is: Could it be unbricked :rolleyes:

What happened was, log time ago on my A8 mate has offered to me an upgrade to 5570 on my MMI, but stage one of BT update it to uninstall the driver and then another CD is needed to finalise the update by installing new BT driver. He hasn't done that and since car wouldn't see the 77 phone, no communication.
So I ended up buying new one, but it had to be same SW number which I was lucky enough to get.

Could Del but that BT in his car and update the driver ??

I'm not ****ing around with MMI updates, cars been fine without taking that risk thanks
