Reverse Camera - Fault 02283
 

Hi lads,

A few weeks ago my reverse camera stopped working. The sensors are fine and it shows the parking graphics, just not the camera itself.

I checked and it's throwing up code 02283. I googled it and on Ross Wiki it says: "02283 - Video Connection to Output [End Unit] "

As it happens, i changed last week the boot lid handle (corroded number plate lights) and we checked that perhaps the wiring was pinched somewhere in the boot, which it isn't. I'm thinking that perhaps a cable has come loose where it connects into the module. But i'm not sure the location or which box it is.

Would anyone have any advice on that?

When you open the boot it is behind the trim on the left far into the boot near the back seat. You have to remove the boot floor and the left trim panel.
If you have a TV, the TV video passes through the RVC module on it's way to the MMI, does the TV work?

The TV is on analogue so hasn't worked since the changeover...

I'll have a look tomorrow. I'm hoping that it's just a cable that's dropped out.....you take the camera for granted really, until it's gone....

Video Connection to Output to em would mean the connection to the camera. Have you tried disconnecting it and checking the connector/pins?
