My faithful 1995 A8 4.2 Quattro which I have since new had NEVER the gearbox oil changed and it still runs like new!
Never got a single issue with the gearbox or transmission.
Am I a lucky man?

You can call it a successful marriage (it's been going better than my own marriage, btw!)

It's running flawlessly, and yes, it's a 4 speed.

Well, to be very honest, the car have only 92K miles on the tach.
Do you guys really think it would be advisable to change the gearbox oil now?
Is there any special precaution or technique involved?

Unless its particularly lumpy or feels unsmooth and you are hoping for a gain, then from a servicing perspective, after this length of time I would leave well alone..... +++
