Its a new door handle (painted) and door strip to replace it, not a horrendous job but not fun either.

oh, looks like a small push button switch on top of handle
surely thats replaceable ?
but if not then the whole thing it has to be

are they all the same handle on all 4 doors ?

anybody got a duff one ??
im going to try and replace the button..

I have the same issue but it's intermittent. A good soak with WD-40 works for a while!!

Duff door handle = next thing you're battery will be flat. Don't replace the car battery, just lock the doors with the remote until the handle is fixed

Not a serviceable item sadly, it will as mentioned only get worse and in some cases keep the kessy module awake and suck the battery down overnight.

They are the same handles with the drivers one having a different part number because its had a plug hole removed for the key barrel.

Personally if your getting one done, buy another or 4 so you have them in stock already painted.

Since I have owned mine all four have been replaced and I have another spare for the inevitable failure of one.

cheers to all for the info

right , ive been in engineering all my life..
i was taught this
if one man put it together another man can take it apart
Not always the case but i wont be beaten till i see one of these in pieces
im on a mission now +++

so who has a faulty one to send me ???

My front door handles have never worked in my three and a half years of ownership, this never bothered me as the rears did work. Just recently they've stopped working too, simultaneously.

Is there a connection or just coincidence that they've both "died" together?

If you find a fix roberto I'm paying you a visit and stopping over till you've fixed mine

If you can, strip the door down first to check that there isn't a broken wire good by to the handle. This was the case in my drivers door. It's at quite an angle and the wires move about when you open the door, one of the wires had broke.

good point (wiring on audi's have never been a strong point)
but there is a micro switch type click when you press the button down
my drivers door button just presses blank the other 3 click like a switch
spare bed already made up Ron +++
