I don't mind helping. I updated my car about a year ago so have been there. Leicester to Norwich is a bit far for just SW update. I assume the SW update isn't urgent? It could coincide with an East Anglia mini meet late summer.

Matt,
That is a very nice offer. Typical of this Forum. I gave my SW update discs away at the annual meet so unable to offer the same. |
You only need a copy of the update 1110
Then you can go direct to 5570 |

I did check with TPS and they seem to be able to get there hands on the disks ok for the updates. |
You will need the version 1100 CD Rom before the 5570 jump, TPS or Audi cannot get this disc as its long since discontinued. The part number for the old CD is 4E0 906 961 H
The only source for this CD as I found when I did mine was to download it from the web and burn it myself. Several members have used the ISO I downloaded to go to 1100 with no problems whatsovever, but as with any update there is always a risk. |
Yep,
I will be using that ISO for 1100 to update a mates car here. He currently has version 0350!!! I haven't seen one that old before, and it is very very glitchy and wont hold a language. It also thinks the car is LHD. Interestingly, his MMI has no options for: background lighting adjustment exterior light choices parking distance control choices no ability to adjust the user settings for the fingerprint start either I know the MMI control panel in his car was changed, so I suspect the update will fix all of these things.
