Well after a clean from hell which involved the poor girl being washed today a total of 3 times,
once just to get some suds on to soak
once to then wash the bodywork
once to wash after the claybarring

started with this in every gap and panel

the whole bodywork had a layer of moss and road grime and just felt generally gritty... she will need paint at some point to get her to what I want but will look at doing that as we approach summer... I have a spraybooth at work so may have to sneak it in somewhere lol

Just ordered some new front indicator lens, and a set of clear side repeaters with all with chrome bulbs...
the headlights need HID's in them, so have ordered a digital 55w in 4300k colour range and with some LED sidelights to hopefully improve things.
I am still on the hunt for all red rear lights....

thought some wheel spacers may be required, so gone for 15mm at the rear and 12mm at the front, all with longer radius seat bolts...

question?
do the FE's have aero wipers as standard?

and has anyone fitted an RS6 flappy paddle steering wheel to a non thumb button wheel kinda car?

and now onto keys? has anyone successfully used a newer style 3 button switchblade key instead of the original 3 button key?

and has ANYONE got any all red rears please? :ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

The FE's have special curved blades with ait deflectors on them they are about £26 a pair from audi and strongly recommended in preference to aero blades as they work superbly on the fairly curved windscreen.

Oli18 fitted an RS6 wheel with paddles to his D2 and there will be a thread on here if you do a search

I've just updated my D2 keys to Bentley style ones and the guy supplied, cut and coded 2 keys for £150 at my address and he came from Chesterfield!
Excellent service and love the quality feel of the keys (see pics attached)

All red rears have been done by quite a few on here - again do a search for threads - Notorius actually ordered new American ones from Audi via Germany and they weren't too bad cost wise but I'm sure he will be along to confirm +++

ah ok, the key does look good, was thinking i may have to badge swap but if he does them as Audi branded then great....

I like the look of the key! Does your Audi badged one have the chrome accents around the buttons as well?

I only have one key for the S8 so was looking for a a second to be done. I think the link above may be the perfect option.
