Water in scuttle area (lots of it!)

Having problems with water filling the scuttle area just under the drivers side wipers, behind the brake fluid reservoir

Took the car for a spin and sounded like a day at the seaside water gushing around trapped in there

Got 2 buckets of water out the other night with a suction pump can't see how its supposed to drain off? any one any ideas? drain blocked somewhere? +++

Down through the infamous (and inaccessible!) "big drains" that I, and many others, have regular battles with.
(My recent thread on the topic: http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/showthread.php?t=12219 )
Circled in red in this diagram, mine get blocked there, then there's item #26 attached below there which funnels the water down either side of the transmission and can get blocked in the rubber outlets:

Thanks guys i can't clean the car now as it keeps filling up each time haha

i will investigate further trust it to be somewhere least accessible

Have you tried the 'easy' drains in the wheel arches?

RS6 3rd November 2017 10:02 PM

okay will check there as well +++

It's an easy fix and well worth being the first check. On advice from an Audi specialist, I've removed the rubber 'teats' as they just seem to aggravate the problem (they just pull off).

I took the opportunity of giving my teats a good massage when the gearbox went bang, see attached photos/screenshots from my post here: http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/showthread.php?t=7550&page=3
