A6 2004 2.0tdi

Hi folks, my brother has the above which is a manual and 148k on the clock. Car throwing up error code p2100 and diagnoses says -Throttle Actuator "A" control motor circuit/open-. Now what does that mean please? the car drives normally.+++

Sounds like drive by wire is reporting an error. VCDS would shed more light, if it was intermittent or constant etc. If it drives ok I'm all for ignoring codes.

Reading posts on other forums it seems something about airflow meter related. Might take it apart and clean it up with some carb cleaner?
