Sounds good, but the timing is always wrong for me somehow.
I'll be on the Isle of Skye, looking forwards to my birthday the next day.....

Hopefully me health allowing - I'm also an admin with the AOC - Audi Owners Club and we have a club stand organised there so you're welcome to join us there as we often combine with our A8/S8 UK Owners Group / forum members. We will meet up nearby prior to going in so I'll let you know where and what time nearer the date +++

Hmmm its in April which is the deadline to complete all the restoration + upgrade work on my car, hmmm, is this event prestigious enough for the rarest model of the D2 on the forum and in the country that is my 2.8? :D

Rarest D2 in the country?? It's not even the rarest D2 in this thread :D

I believe that "Evergreen", a LWB with a factory S8 engine could beat you to that claim. ;)

But it sure would be nice to see your car in the flesh with all the upgrades you've done to it. +++

Never have a bubble!

Someone always has a pin!

:ROFL:p

Although a LWB with factory S8 engine could be called plain old OEM. Where as a one off 2.8.............

Do you even heated steering wheel bro?

Jokes aside, there should be an award called "Biggest money pit" for the largest amount of money spent on a car vs. its actual market value, and I would win it every year :-(

I could have had an MJ-sorted S8 for what I've spent on this 2,8, the only way to 'redeem' this car would be to stick a 2.7tt in it or something....:D

MikkiJayne 8th February 2023 01:52 PM

I think Vince and I could give you a fair run on that with our 2.8s, but then I am going to stick a 2.7TT in mine. One day...
