Done some impressive amount of miles in the last few years.

As for the piston damage that could be serious money to sort out.

I wouldn't touch it thats for sure, not unless it was getting broken.

Depends on the cylinder damage really.. Even if it was 3k to sort, still a bargain... But.. You'd always be wondering if any of the others were thinking about it.

im seriously starting to wonder about the reliability of these engines now

if it was £5000 i would 4.2 tdi it (conversion time)+++(done it before)+++

Interesting... so you would have 4.2TDI with S8 looks, brakes and suspension. Are there any other differences?
