ive bought a Bitdi A6 C7 (a cheapy for now)

well i was fancying one for a while mainly for that 313bhp engine
the idea is to buy a much newer car if im impressed
and its on my ramp at the moment
wheels are off for a brake inspection and there BIG ! RS4 BIG
ive done the oil and filter 6.4 litres (odd?)
im going to check the air filter in morning and change the fuel filter
its done 114k but i think thats fine
its a NON adblu engine which is what i wanted
pretty impressive and feels as big as a D3
see how it goes :)

Should be well quick with that engine, could be a nice sleeper too as most of them look identical to the regular 2.0tdi version.
Any photos ?
Any suprise bills in the service history compared to a normal 3.0tdi ?

It's a great engine: the only diesel I've ever driven that was any fun at all ;)

service history up to 75k with OXFORD AUDI

AND they WONT give it me due to Data Protection !
i have to go there in person with id and logbook 300 miles Duh!
i have now taken this up with Audi customer services

its done 114k so an indy after 75k and no paperwork

its on the ramp at home being tittyvated (is that a real word ?)

also waiting for an undertray as it was missing ! (why?)

Is it really that hard for them to simply redact the personal information? https://www.corradov8.com/pics/screwy.gif

The word you're looking for is titivate - 'to make minor enhancements', derived from tidy > tidivate > titivate +++

roberto 8th October 2020 09:39 AM

ta,
service history is a print out of just that
there is no personal info from what ive seen
you cant beat the old service book
chuffin stupid idea Audi

ive had a call back from Audi Customer Services and they are looking into it and said - there is no data to protect -
Marshall,s group policy they say due to data protection...

When they say 'data protection' what they mean to say is 'can't be arsed to look it up'

Even before GDPR trying to get a copy of a missing invoice was bloody hard work - the intro of GDPR just gave them an easy 'excuse' to not bother being helpful when you're (usually) not one of their customers.

This.

Lazy-arsed, overpaid, underworked, uppity Audi dealership oiks who are a (generally...) a complete waste of space. I don't miss them at all.

Undertray will be thrown in the corner of the indy workshop I suspect.

Can the service history not be read off the key fob at your local dealer ?

yeh undertray was ripped off cos 2 bolts had rounded off heads, that part was still on, i got them out ok, some people have no idea..
Key fob ? never heard of that before

but Audi set up the digital service history when they stopped doing the book
so its there for all to have, i just dont get it, its unethical
