Pretty sure most of them were pumped out to the dealer network as a fixed (low) spec. I had one as a loan car while my S5 was in for repair. It wasn't anything to write home about

I hear there is a really nice spec white d3 tdi, lots of owners on the log book but clearly been loved. Maybe right up your street!? :D

Whilst you're waiting for something that regrettably may not happen, why not indulge yourself in a non-Edition 21 white A8 D4 3.0tdi?

I recently bought an A8 D4 3.0tdi Sport Executive in Ibis White and it's a wonderful car.
It doesn't have a high-spec but it still has 21" "5-arm Rotor" wheels, BOSE, sports steering wheel, LED headlights with high-beam assist, 22-way sports seats, and 360 degree Audi parking system advanced with "birds-eye view".

I'd rather have something in the garage to admire and drive whilst waiting for my unicorn. Especially if I'd sold my main car. :)
