The MMI update to 5570 is 3 cds. Part number is 4L0998961.

The bootloader option completely resets and erases the MMI, so even once you load the firmware again most of its coding will be missing. You are going to need VCDS to get the coding back.

One piece of advise we always say when messing with the hidden menu is "Do not go anywhere near the bootloader option"

Certainly try to recode with VCDS first, but if the MMI interface box needs to be replaced it's a relatively simple task. The module is behind the passenger glove box next to the CAN gateway. There are many used units from A8parts and I think component protection will need to be removed.

Yes replacement is relatively simple, just behind the glove box, you can also look for a tutorial for it if you want.+++

vcds will do most of it

the air suspension menu can be put back in with the hidden menu
