Fog lights
I have been looking to replace the fog light assemblies on my car but it's a bit crazy they are being sold at $120.95 each. I did find a new set on ebay for $67.90 but these are being sold out of Latvia and I'm guessing these will not fit correctly for the American D2 FL cars?

Chinesium copies at that price so they probably won't fit anything correctly.
FL2 fog lights are actually FL B5 A4 units which may help with searching. A4 parts are usually cheaper than S8 parts ;) |
I didn't know that the fog light from FL B5 A4 cars fit. What is the correct OEM brand for the fog lights? Hella? Valeo? Other?
|
Valeo.
The D2 lights started off with their own number, but supercede to the B5 number. |
Thanks. Looks like the price for these are reasonable. Is there a quality clear film protector to put on the lenses to keep them from getting cloudy/yellowing?
|
Mine are glass lenses... a little pitted after 19 years, but otherwise good. They polished ok by hand when I did the spoiler last year...

I finally got around to buying a new pair of Valeo fog lights for the FL B5 A4 and they do NOT have the same mounting points as the D2 FL foglights. Here is two side by side pictures that I took.

Well thats weird. I have B5 fogs in my S8 that I removed and refitted myself. The 4D number supercedes to the 8D number too.
Is yours FL1 or FL2? |
Anyone on here tried using the dual color LED fog light bulbs? I sorts like the idea of having white light during normal weather and switching to yellow light during foggy conditions.
