Did it smack him on the chin or something?

Seemed to open normally after fitting. No idea what it was like before......

I fitted a new lifter motor to my boot a few of years ago to cure the non-lifting fault it was plagued with. I have a couple of these buffers which I am going to fit in the next few days so will see if they assist with an already healthy motor. If it aids with the lifting and prevents the motor breaking whilst in my ownership then for a few pounds it's a win win situation for me.

Like he said ^^ +++ .. they do assist but only a small amount. If your motor is already failing it may not help.. but if you have the same issue many A8 owners have its only the first couple inches it struggles with +++
Dosent help that the tool kit is so heavy and weighs it down |
My problem with boot opening is only on very hot days and seems to be sticky seals. I believe that these buffers will be ideal to solve mine.

Yep, 1st couple of inches.
