Anyone had the emissions recall done on their car
Hi all
Car due for a service currently all Audi history so planning to get the oil service done later this month. Logged into the MyAudi app and can see a recall for my 2010 4.2tdi. I remember reading of problems with other diesel engined Audi's when owners had what I assume is revised mapping of some sort. Anyone had the recall done and able to feed back or anyone had a service done but managed to not have the recall applied. On the app it says my car is subject to the following recall campaigns...... A-Reducing engine emissions* XXXX Thanks adam |
Lots of differing reports but we have had it done on a 2.0 tdi and a 1.6 tdi and i couldnt tell the difference.

I've just, two days ago, picked up my 'pre-owned' 2015 D4.
If you can trust the Audi dealer's words, they said the car is 'owed' that recall but "Audi haven't prepared it for dealers yet" and that Audi will be contacting owners directly ... Julian |
In this sort of issue, isn't it the owners decision if it happens or not? if the car meets emissions test results equivalent to those required to pass an MOT I would not be getting it done+++

Interesting info JulianHicks thanks for sharing. I'm booked for Thursday week.
Briang9 it is my intention to formally request the update is not performed but I've read a number of people (not A8) saying their wishes were ignored, so happy days if the update isn't available |

I didn't see anything about a recall when I logged in to My Audi! Where was that reported in MyAudi? Perhaps mine isn't due one anyway ... Julian |

I went through the app to book my service late last week and I can't remember seeing it then either now I think about it. Hmmmm given the fun and games I've been having trying to get online traffic working who knows what might happen next. I'll take nothing for granted |
Service day today. Dealer has advised the car is showing for a recall but that the system also shows it isn't applicable to my vehicle. They are looking into it.

Not sure whether my 2014 Ad-Blue equipped Facelift will be eligible for the recall but I probably won’t bother.
I have heard (unsubstantiated) that this may also lock the ECU to prevent any 3rd party remap in future. As I am still toying with the idea of another remap (I had my 2011 mapped previously 350-415PS & 800->966Nm) I don’t want to risk locking them out. As if 385PS/850Nm wasn’t enough to begin with...:D -=Glyn=- |
