When I lived on the Essex/London borders I was always over Costco spending a bomb on toasters and the like! I remember when they started doing tyres and they were really good value. Never knew they started doing fuel as well.

Have to say I really like Tesco Momentum so if it's anything like that it should be a winner +++

Their premium (98 Ron) is still very competitively priced at £1.18 per litre +++

Speaking of fuel, I watched a very nice white R8 (reg V10 ---) pull into my local Sainsbury's fuel station last Sunday...he put £30 of their finest in it, I shuddered.

That's just about enough to get to the shop car park, do the shopping and back to fuel station.

On a more serious note maybe he only had enough room in tank for £30 worth of fuel. I know I have been going to fuel station and fill up when I still have 3/4 of tank.

Maybe you're right, perhaps he was diluting the "good stuff" already in there :)

I do an 18 mile round trip to fill mine up, driving past several garages to do so, but I never even contemplate putting supermarket fuel in :tuttut:

If I'm desperately low on fuel and not near a Shell (for my car's usual fix of V-Power), I'll sometimes stop at the nearest service station for £10-£30 worth of any old crap, just to get me to the next Shell station. Maybe that's what he was doing.

... Or, maybe he'd hired the car for the weekend (gotta take it back with a full tank on Monday)?
