1990 fuel sender 4.2 Quattro

Iam right on buying this a8 Quattro it's a real nice car but needs fuel pump and offside tank sender I've located new pump and offside sender but can not find a sender for the near side , could anyone enlighten me briefly how the 2 senders work as they have corroded with condensation as car has stood for a while or if anyone knows where I can get any of the above

The nearside is the sender and is really easy, the offside is the pump assembly and can be fiddly to get out and located back in properly. Been a long while since I been in there and the sender I only took out trying to enlighten me getting the pump back in.
Have a search on here as anairs posted up so procedures. Forum sponsors might have some bits?
1990 is a bit early?
