Squealing noise

My pass side brakes seem to squeak, not sure if it front or rear but when I apply the brakes it stops. Worried if it might be callipers? I am sure this only happened after I let my friend borrow the car:tuttut:

Could be a small stone/chipping stuck between caliper and brake disc ?

Car is in the garage at present for checkup. The rear pass brake was getting hot and their was a slight burning smell:( dreading if it’s calliper. Any ideas guys what the best option is if it s the calliper? I see they do the repair kits. Has anyone repaired theirs or can someone recommend a decent refurb place.
Thanks

Don’t dread a calliper, a refurb with motor is ~£200 form carparts4less with a refundable surcharge when you send your old one back, there are many more expensive parts than this +++

Garage checked it over. They could not find the fault but noticed the disc is reddish in colour. Now I was planning on possibly refurbishing my two rear callipers. Need guidance howto take them off. Would I need VCDS to release them? Also anybody heard of biggred refurbishing company?

I've used Biggred before. Funnily enough, they did the calipers on Big Red and made quite a nice job of them +++

Spoke to Bigred MJ, they don’t do my ones as they are electric!:( they said Co called Shaftec in Midlands. Anyone know these Co? Also please someone advice me if I need VCDS to remove calliper? In London all the damn garages have limited space and only want you to buy a new one so they can just straight replace! I want to refurbish my ones. What say you?

VCDS not required for front but will be required to remove the back to release the EPB

I used the Carista Bluetooth plug in dongle thingy, with there app. On my phone to open and close the motor mechanism.
I purchased a piston and seal kit off ebay to refurbish the caliper.
After much cleaning of the caliper I set about fitting the seals and pistons. Ended up reusing the original pistons in the end. The new ones were not chamfered enough to push through the seals without tearing them. They were budweg pistons, I would try a different brand next time. You do need to give the seal groove a thorough cleaning out.
How the motor mechanism works is very simple, nothing to be worried about.
