S8 inlet noise
 

Both s8s I have tested have this rattle from the inlet manifold at part throttle

Is this normal?

Both have fairly high mileage?

Its likely rattling because the flaps are broken, a new manifold is around 2k so you could use that as bargaining power but its also with some risk as the broken parts could go down into the valves.

But if it hasn't you can remove the manifold and gutt the internals out and reassemble

78k and 120k... the 120k has full audi history and is extremely tidy... offered 8k for it... accepted.

Drives well enough..

Just inlet and dampers really
