Have a look at the options

There is also an option that combines both. ;)

But, as described in post #1 this is Lane Assist, i.e. warning lights that there is something in your blind spot.

I guess there are marketing terms, sales terms, technical terms and variations in language.

In the UK, as Guy says, the 'feature' that uses lights on the inside of the door mirrors to warn you of traffic in your blind spot, on the side of you is called 'Side assist'.

I guess at a stretch you could argue that when you indicate, 'to change lane' if there is something in the blind spot, the light flashes brightly to warn you. If this is what folks want to believe is a 'lane change assist' feature then so be it.

None of this changes the fact that really, if you're a half decent driver and check your blind spot and mirrors before performing a manoeuvre, then really its a very pointless, verging on annoying 'feature'. Its one of those I would quite literally only have to have to fill a blank on the dash and would/did/do never use +++

Sorry, I should also say each to their own, and regardless of what its called, if you want it, crack on. No one has done it to my knowledge, but probably more through a cost vs benefit than a technical limitation.... +++

What about if you had a freak accident when out, from doing an impression of a chicken and hurt your neck so badly that on the way home you couldn't check your blind spot?

I Have actually retro fit this for a Customer it involved The dashboard insert with button, the wiring loom, the sensors that go in the rear bumper, and the mirrors housings and internals,

As for what can be adjusted ... Nothing other than the brightness of the light +++

As Ian said .. it is a tad gimmicky however having said that late at night when your driving with lots of traffic behind you the auto dimming mirrors on the face lift are far more intense than the Pre face lift they are almost Blue they are so dark that it did actually assist me a couple of times when ive been tired and got complacent after a long drive

If i didn't have it as standard its not something Id rush out to Buy ...
