how much £ it could set me off good fsh backed up late 2002 final edition S8 with under 100k mileage?

Anything from £6k upwards for a really good one, depending on how far below 100k miles, history, spec and condition :D

The final editions (or special editions) were a specific combination of paint and leather colours, and black on black wasn't one of them. A lot of D2 S8s are advertised incorrectly as Final Editions as many people think they're just late 2002 cars. I'll post the link the the definitive thread on this in a moment, although even this has some minor inaccuracies: http://www.tyresmoke.net/forum/topic...final-edition/ |

The black on black one looked nice and is probably priced about right for 80k miles, but there was nothing in the advert to suggest the gearbox had been serviced..... |
Had enquiry on that one and seller said gearbox been serviced at 56k miles with fluid and filter change, cambelt done at 76k miles costing £1806 and all receipt with fsh records to prove. If thats the case someone got good one but with premium price i suppose. ..

The problem is if you buy one at £4k that's a bit rough round the edges you could easily spend £3k getting it sorted.
The recommissioning service on mine, before I bought it, came to £2.5k (service, cambelt, front discs and pads, various little jobs), plus an exhaust £1k, ICE update £3k+, set of 4 tyres and a wheel refurb..... |
Yes good thing ain't cheap and cheap things ain't good... search continues
|
This certainly isn't the cheapest but if the history/condition stack up.....
http://www.pistonheads.com/classifie...-miles/3970079 Base spec for an S8 by the looks of it, but since most things can be retrofitted :D |
Pricey, but I like the plate very much..+++
