ESP Light - Random Always On

Symptom - ESP Light will appear on cannot be switched off without restarting the engine. Will appear under either light or hard braking.

Solution - Brake pedal switch. Remove lower driver side panel with Torx screwdriver. Remove air ducting and reach up. Undo electrical clip and twist the switch. Install switch and reverse the stripdown.

Would a fault code show up in VCDS fro this?

Thanks

Maybe... Are you getting those symptons?

One way to test may be to have someone at the back of the car, and see how much pressure on the pedal it takes to pop the brake lights on.

....or back it up close to a wall when it's dark and press the brake light

Or use a mate you don't like, and keep it in reverse :)

I don't think my issue is related to the brake switch now, the ESP light seems to be randomly coming on.

I just had it scanned, and is showing 'brake pressure sensor - electrical fault in circuit'

For what it costs to replace it I would just do it with a new item.

That fixed mine as it randomly came on.
