D3 dis

Just a quick question. But are there 2 different types of DIS on the D3?

The reason I ask is that I have the "old style" rectangular DIS, but I noticed on pSyChE's ad for his 4.2 that the DIS seems to bridge the entire area between the dials

Older - apparently

Wide DIS is standard kit from around 2006, and always fitted with Adaptive cruise.

Small DIS is for those poverty motors that are old, and low spec.. :p

Thats an ACC one though, the newer cars without ACC, but with wide DIS have sightly bigger dials.... Same pixels / res though.

So there are 3 types really:

Old Small DIS < 2007
Big DIS with ACC - ALL
Big DIS no ACC > 2007

What operating differences are there on the narrow and wide ones?
(Notwithstanding ACC) Just longer red lines?
