Only use lightweight wheels on a track car, you'll reduce unsprung weight and that has massive performance benefits - rota do a series of lightweight wheels as do OZ, team dynamics and many others. +++

The lightest OE 18s I've ever encountered are the W12s I've got listed for sale which come in at ~12Kg. The next lightest are the 17" D2 fat fives which are about 11Kg and are what I have for my track car (aka workshop shelf).

Team Dynamics pro-race 1.2 are very light too. I think their 9x17 is about 10.something Kg.

I run 18" Rota Grid GTRs at 9kg each for my semi-slicks and ultralite 17s at 8.1kg for the slicks, the difference is huge compared to the 19" crap that came with the car all those years ago
