Beautiful 2002 low mileage Milltek S8 for sale

Well, here goes with a VERY heavy heart...

Due to another vehicle project, and lack of use, it is with deep regret regret that I must sell my S8.

I purchased this stunning car from a dealer after viewing 8 different ones 20 months ago; It was by far the best S8 I had seen and driven. The car had done 55K miles with a full Service history.

Now the car has done just 59,700 miles, and I have just spent over £3k at QST in the last two months to include MOT, cambelt, water pump, thermostat, all belts, full service including gearbox, and 4-wheel alignment.

I spent over £1k last year on a service to include the fitment of a Milltek exhaust system, ITG filter, 2x 10mm MTM spacers on the front, and 2 x 15mm MTM spacers on the rear at 56,134 miles.

This is a car that has ALL the expensive things done, so a future owner would simply need to fuel and insure her without fear of spending out on any unforseen and general maintenance items. A new battery was also fitted in August 2010.

There is not a similar car offered for sale that can claim this! You WILL need to dig deep into your pockets if you buy another example offered elsewhere! I have already saved you a fortune!

The spec:

Stunning Aqua Blue pearl - looks mid-blue, but turns a stunning, shimmering violet in the sunlight (see picture 3 in the door shut to get an idea) A real head turner that attracts very positive attention due to it's colour, condition and rarity.
5 speed tiptronic automatic with sport mode that was only available in 2002
Black unmarked nappa leather. The rear seat also does not suffer from the baggy, loose leather on the seat base in the middle that affects these cars.
5 x 20" Genuine factory fit Final Edition alloys that have just been diamond cut refurbished by Lepsons. They are as new, and are painted as per AUdi factory spec with a lighter (almost white) paint on the inside!
4 x brand new Michelin Pilot Supersport tyres (correct for this vehicle and not a budget brand)
Spare Michelin pilot has done only 2k miles.
Front heated seats.
Black Alcantara Door cards.
Front and rear parking sensors.
Cruise control
Folding mirrors.
Tilt & Slide electric aluminium sunroof.
Bi-xenon headlights (Xenon plus).
RNS-D Sat Nav with 10 speakers.
6 CD Changer.
Factory Analogue TV tuner - easy to switch to digital using all existing aerials etc.

+ all usual S8 features such as twin climate control etc.

MOT until 29th November 2012 - taxed until 31st May 2012.

Run only on Shell V-power in my ownership.

Absolutely no issues with the car, everything works as it should, with no fault codes. A simply beautiful, tight, pliant drive enhanced by the lovely sound from the Milltek exhaust - which is not intrusive in any way!

Still looks and feels £70k of Audi flagship model.

I am confident that you will not find another example in this lovely condition. The car looks 3 years old, and has been well looked after by myself and it's previous owners. None of the chrome trim is milky!

I am the 4th owner. The First owner was a leasing company with the driver of ths car being a Mr Riehl. Mr Riehl then purchased the car from Lex at the end of the lease term and became the second owner up until 2005. As far as I'm concerned owners 1 & 2 were the same person. A Mr Mainwaring then purchased this car in November 2005 and kept the car until June 2010 when I purchased it.

The car is a last of year production model, just prior to the final edition, and has a sensible, and rather sexy all-black interior colour combination.

Given the condition of the car, and what has been spent, I am looking for offers in the region of £7k.

For this, you would be purchasing one of the finest examples of this rare car, in remarkable condition, with low mileage, and will not have to spend thousands on servicing and cosmetics. A cambelt change done properly on one of these is £1k, and this car has just had it's second cambelt change!

I will see how the ad goes on here for a week before putting it on Pistonheads. Also, it is worth noting that I can adjust the price should a prospective owner want the car put back to standard ie exhaust, spacers, filter. That said, I'd rather it went "as is", because believe me, the subtle mods really do enhance what is already a fabulous car.

If you are serious about buying one of the best examples of this iconic and rare cars, may I suggest you see as many as possible before coming to see this one? I am positive you will agree with my description.

This is easily the best D2 S8 for sale currently, for those that don't know, QST are one of the best Audi specialists in the country, so you know the work was completed to a very high standard. The Michelin supersport tyres are again the best you can buy, and not cheap, I would say that is another £1,000 at least there! This is the nicest D2 model I've seen since S8 VWJ went up for sale, the price is justified, I hope you get it.

Lovely car mate, but honestly think you are going to need a lot of luck at that price, I just don't see this £1,500 more than the other really nice examples sold recently.

And you can't claim that the buyer absolutely won't have anything to spend on the car, we all know that D2s will always need some TLC to keep everything shipshape and all cars will need servicing, tyres etc, you can't realistically expect to recoup money spent on maintaining any car.

It is a buyers market at the moment, not good for the seller.

The number of ar*eholes I've had calling me about the XK is unbelievable

Think of a stupid question then multiply by 1000 :Confused:

There isn't any other as good I've seen for sale, except maybe James's car that was on sale for £7.5k iirc, and that had double the mileage.

That looks fantastic. +++

But I must step away from the computer...........:D

Classic example

I sincerely think this is a rare example...especially with such low mileage...with all honesty if I had space I would garage it and watch it appreciate in years to come!!!!

Can't remember the last time an s8 of this example was up for sale...excluding james' s8....

I'm not. I spent over 4k on it in one year, and I'm not trying to recoup it. If I didn't spend that, the car would still be worth £6k.

Spend, condition and mileage is what's going for this example. I'm not asking £10k

It doesn't need a service, it doesn't need tyres. It doesn't need a wheel refurb etc..... I could go on :)

One for the true enthusiast perhaps, as I know what else is out there. This is not a typical example of the marque.

I have receipts for all the major work. Not one example sold recently has this, therefore I feel justified in my claim about not having to spend out on any big service and upkeep items. I have already done this.

I repeat, any purchaser would have to insure and fuel the car. If they want to spend more on mods, then that's up to them!

:)
