Wanted: Facelift D3 A8 Licence Plate Holder Filler
 

Would anyone have the licence plate holder filler for a facelift D3 A8, as in the image below (not US option 3)? It needs to have the holes for the parking sensors. Just don't fancy spending over a hundred quid for a new one, which then gets covered with a number plate!

Got one for mine I put on now and again for shows etc. but you'll really struggle finding a second hand or cheap one. They are on back order and about £110 from Audi if I remember. I don't recall if your front trim is gloss black or grey but there are two slightly different greys so be aware of that if you do buy one. I found all the part numbers and variations on a US forum once before.

My plan was to fit it to mine and source some of that sticky magic gel to stick a printed reflective number plate to which I can remove as and when I choose but I can't find a supplier for that magic sticky gel stuff anywhere now.

so you want the one with the chrome strips ?
ive never seen them before..
do you have the part number ?
also does the standard number plate fit in between the chrome strips ?

i have a normal plain one in primer 2nd hand if any good that will be the no.2 one on your pic

4E0807285AM1QP is the part number for my grey bit. The last three characters denote the part variation.

Not really Roberto. Just happened to have 4 highlighted in ETKA. The standard number plate just covers the chrome strips (see photo). Definitely interested in the one you have. Just the one question, and that is does it have the holes for the parking sensors like in Ollie's photo? If so, can you send me a message with price, including postage.

Ollie - Mine is currently the gloss black grille, but I'm planning on retrofitting ACC. Finally got the right grille, but missing the plate holder.

Just received the grille from Roberto. Now all I have to do is strip the grille down before taking it to be painted. One step closer to doing the ACC retrofit.
