I've had a deposit down on one since April. Doubt I'll actually keep one but it's interesting for sure. A Tesla, but with actual build quality is a cool concept ;-)

The new people’s car?

The advances in infrastructure need to match the advances in eleccy chassis offerings.

I can't currently see how everyone who has a combustion-engined car at the moment is going to be able to charge these wherever they want.

And how are they going to be generating all the extra energy to charge everyone's motors?

"Renewables produce more than 20% of the UK’s electricity, and EU targets means that this is likely to increase to 30% by 2020. "

So we are still heavily reliant on burning stuff BEFORE we factor in having to charge millions of cars.

Reminded me of this very interesting retrofit; Tesla motor and batteries in an S5.
