First proper drive in ages, tips needed please!

Hi All,

The trip to Cumbria is tomorrow! Spa hotel, good drive to Bowness from Barnsley, South Yorkshire, no M Ways (ViaMichelin - any thoughts?).

I would appreciate any tips or links to explanations of how to connect my Lady's iPod / iPhone to the Telly of the A8. The previous owners have run a cable from the back of the TV tuner (analogue, original) and I haven't tested until the last minute... Just tried and it fought back. :-(

Thing is, I thought if I just put it onto TV it would, sort of, like, just work... What should I press to get what would be (I think) the Aux "channel" to work (OK, OK, you're not talking to a Tech Maven here...),

Or should I be thinking about a whole other way of getting iPod / phone / bolox to run??:rolleyes:

Personally the 6 CD changer is fine by me!

Sorry Robert,
I'm just back from our Annual Meet and am totally knackered.
When you press the TV button you will need to select Aux Video 1 or Aux Video 2. Depends on what the PO has wired it to.
Unfortunately most of the experts in this area are either like me or are on their merry way to Ireland.
Good luck with it.

Hi,

Thanks for prompt reply, will try that.

Enjoying drive this time, just really trying to iron out little bugs for planned future tours on continent.

If we don't need a visa post Brexit...

Got it! Ta!

Yes! Finally I worked out that TV has a second Mode (AV) that is accessed by oressing the Mode button!

Her indoors is A Happy Bunny....
