Ordering a D4

We're ordering a new D4 3.0 TDI SE, it will act as a family car for trips to Europe, power not important. I know absolutely nothing about this model. Getting the SE base spec, are there any cheapo options worth specc'ing above the SE spec or any 'must haves'? The SE spec seems to be fairly loaded... Colour will most likely be white with black leather, photos when it's delivered, of course. :D

Not tempted by a nearly new one with plenty of kit paid for by the original owner? Should be a reasonable choice out there in the main dealer network

It has to be brand new as is being bought by the business, I don't know the full ins and outs but brand new is paramount. Can you believe they do a 2.0T hybrid D4? A four pot, in an A8 class of car just seems...weird.

If it's business, it doesn't 'have' to be new, but there may be a VAT issue depending on how old it is as I'm guessing that's one of the things they'll be worried about :)

I'd stay clear of the hybrid personally.

Rather shoot myself in the foot then ever consider a hybrid! Was just sayin'.
It will be brand new as Audi subsidise them to shift 'um and you end up with a fairly big discount, and get to chose your own colour etc...

Yes, just need to work out how I can claim a new M3 as a business expense as I've been offered a great deal. ;)

Just out of curiosity, are you getting the base 3.0 TDi engine too? If so, I'm sure you realise that it's FWD only.

Sorry, that brochure is out of date.

Not all A8's are quattro. The 2.0T Hybrid and 3.0 TDI 204ps are FWD only.
