s8 d3 flexi pipes replace
2 Attachment(s)
hi is anyone had these flexi pipes replaced before?
there is two sets of these and the one closer to engine (next to cat converters) are blown in my car(one actually) Im looking to replace them both soon and wonder if anyone had these replaced and is there any probs replacing them. thanks in advance |
yes, I've just had both of mine done recently at a local exhaust specialist. Mine started to blow and make a noise. It's quite common for these to go with age.
The old ones were cut out and new ones welded in. Cost me approx £220 all in. Also, if one is blowing/ damaged I would replace both at the same time this will save you money in the long run. |

BTW You need to add ACC to your signature ;) EDIT: Just a little addition. About two hours after posting this message I remembered that the car only went through it's MOT at the start of August. Very strange that it wasn't picked up at the MOT. |
Yes, find a garage that can cut it out and weld a new one in. I've just had one of mine done. Changing the exhaust is engine out I believe!
