Fantastic attention to detail as always Marcin. Enjoy +++

Ollie, Johmed & Tony, thank you guys +++
Paddles are fairly easy to change. Remove the air by undoing two bolts at the back, pulling it out and disconnecting one connector. Disconnect paddles which are directly plugged in into each steering buttons. Slide out both steering wheel buttons to expose torx screw for each paddle. Undo each screw and that's paddles out. Next push the long securing pin and you will end up with paddle in one hand and base with microswitch in the other. New paddle in, secure it with the pin and assemble the steering wheel back in reverse order +++ |
Thank you Sean +++ I'm enjoying it to the full potential :D
1788cc Here is the thread I made about the paddles and completely forgot about it http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/showthread.php?t=8854 |
Fantastic Marcin
Great to see it being restored to showroom condition and not used as a donor. |
Great right up, and a bargain for you +++

As meticulous and detailed as I'd expect from you Marcin, the write up and the car
Looking forward to meeting you and comparing S8's one day, they've quite a lot in common. Wouldn't it be great to see and hear several of them together, you know what two sound like, imagine five or six on a spirited drive? ;) |
Mannyo, Ian, Ron, Thank you guys +++
It has been a great summer overall, a lot of back bending, head scratching, stressing and sweating, but it was worth it +++ Ron, that would be great. As I told you couple of weeks ago, next time I'll have a little meet/BBQ at mine you will be more than welcome to pop in - that will make at least 4 S8s, where 3 of them are almost identical +++ We could go for a little blast on mixed roads :yippee: I know yours, mine and Ollie's had the resonators removed and Del is not far from making the same decision - I may have to take him to same place day earlier :D It took them only 15min and after inspecting welds which they ask me to do I was well impressed. Nearly 2hours wait, although on the sofa watching car movies in their showroom, but it all was long forgotten as soon I fired her up. |
:respekt:
Marcin, great job and great effort +++ |

I do note, reference my post on your thread about selling the D3 3.7 that the oil filler cap was positioned incorrectly, that on this car you have aligned it the same...... BUT I also note that the manufacturers instructions on the cover are aligned in the same direction! So its either me or Marcin and Audi that are wrong. I guess its me then :o
Do I now slink off and change mine.......? |
