Favour Needed From A D2 S8 Owner
 

Hi guys, my recently acquired S8 is missing both the S8 and Audi rings on the boot lid, I’ve now got them ready to stick on but want them positioned exactly as they were from factory.

Could one of you kind chaps please get me measurements for where they fit exactly on the rear boot lid? Also I’d like to know spaced out is the S and 8 is as the S & 8 come as individual units.

Thanks, Jim. I can’t wait a few weeks, it’s really bugging me it’s de-badged, so much so I’ve had to park it’s arse up against a wall and we all know the D2 has a great rear end so it’s a shame to hide it. :ROFL:

I think one of mine still has the original badges on the boot. I can check tomorrow if no one else has measured one by then :)

I found the rings in the Tech Dump but no luck with the S8 badge

Hmmmmm my S8 badge is a little misaligned..... :tuttut:
73mm, 40mm, 5mm seem to be the critical measurements.

So that's 73mm from the bottom left corner of the badge to the edge of the boot lid.
And 40mm to the edge above the rear light (NOT to the light itself, there's a seal between)
And just 5mm between the two sections.

I suggest others take the same measurements…………..

Or are you trying to acquire the original PF version of the badge? (My old PF had those until it was stolen and accident damaged, the repairers binned them and fitted the newer type)
