D3 coding help. Module 46 - Central Convenience

A quick request for a helpful D3 owner with VCDS...

I read up on a setting called 'SAE rear lights'. Basically when the brake lights are on and you indicate, that side's rear brake light will dim to normal tail light brightness until the indicator clicks off and it will go back to full brake light brightness. A bit American and kind of useless but I had to find out what it does.

Anyways, I went to revert the coding back to normal rear lights and subtracting 2048 from the code doesn't seem to deactivate the SAE rear lights now.

I just need to check with another D3 and copy your code from Module 46 - Central Convenience. Whether or not you have electric rear blinds is fine, I can just add or exclude +512 (Rear Shades) and all the other coding should be the same for every D3?

Mine reads as 0004349.

VCDS creates a text file log when you change settings, so even if you didnt make a note of the coding before, if you sniff around in the VCDS program directories you should find an audit trail.....?

Trouble is I've used VCDS 12.12 on so many laptops, it won't be the same one I originally did it on

I have come across instances where the label files dont match up properly....

You can always reset the coding to 0000000 and add each bit in 1 at a time to see what actually activates what..... a ballache, but it worked when I was trying to code in a roof module recently +++

If I had a D3 handy, I would check for you, but alas I don't right now....

OK, so that sort of throws my idea that all D3s '46' coding must be the same apart from if you have rear side blinds, out the window

0004861 rings a bell though, I'm sure I've seen it as that before when I was turning the locking confirmation beep on which changed is to 0005885, so will try that.
