Retirement sucks

I have realised that retirement and A8's do not mix.
Especially with the current financial crisis.
Does anyone want to buy my D4 A8L?

I still have 38 years to go, my D2 will be tesla converted by then

Ray!!! Life can be a bitch but sometimes it throws something less than awful at you. And for anyone with warm blood and a beating heart I think your 8 is one of those. If it gives you a smile and makes you happy it's a good thing. So I hope you can defer the divorce a little longer or, at a push, replace her with another equally rewarding machine.

I'm sure you're not the only one who's thinking that, but it is the end of January in - as you pointed out - a bit of tough year, financially.

Maybe we need a Spring NW mini-meet to remind ourselves of the joy these cars can bring ;) - and in the meantime, here's a wee reminder that the winter blues won't last all year +++

Now it might have been no accidental, but when I followed that link I got an advert of a young woman in Bra and Panties! It's good of Stephen to help cherr Ray up! +++

100% agree (even though I couldn't attend), but after the last three years, we all need something to bring us back together to share our passion for these cars.

Sorry All.
Bit of an overstatement.
I've been officially retired for 18 years but as you all know I keep on keeping on.
Trouble is there is not as much work at the moment, as usual January and February are very quiet in the holiday field. On top of which my son and his family are moving out. It took me 14 years to get some cash out of them to help with running costs and the loss of that albeit smallish amount exacerbates the situation. British Gas have capitulated and dropped their electricity hike by a big bite, even lowered the gas charge while at it. Phoning the buggers worked.
OK. I am hanging on and if work picks up again, I’ll ride on for a few more months.

Sorry to hear that things are tight Ray. Have a good look to see what else you can cut e.g. Council rates reduction for single occupancy (if that is now the case). See link.
Keep buggering on and we hope to see you at future events +++

Good advice.
I had already applied for single occupancy from when they actually move out. The council have set this up for me.
I could sell a liver.
Anyone wanting to purchase a well worn left leg? Don't need that with an automatic.
