Fitting D3 steering wheel to D2 ???
 

So as the title says, is it possible to fit an A8 D3 steering wheel to A8 D2? I’m really hyped about fitting the D3 fully wooden steering wheel to my car, but couldn’t find any info about it. Thanks in advance.

I have seen pics of D3 wheel in D2 but I think D3 has 2 stage airbag and D2 single stage so not sure how is it connected or how would it act when deployed in accident.

I’ve seen some pics as well and I’m not worried about the airbag, I’m curious if it fits to the steering rod slots…

Why not get a nice multi function steering wheel with tiptronic and heating instead?

Nah, that one looks awful (personal opinion).

All I want is wooden steering wheel, doesn’t matter if its from D3 or any other Audi. Actually just found out that there is originally a wooden steering wheel for D2 and for C5 and B6 which might fit as well, but anyway I was able to find just a D3 steering wheel available for sale for now…

There is one for sale on eBay that has the correct part number (8D0419091T) in the description for a D2, but also gives a list of other OEM part numbers. It mentions it being by Nardi Torino but that means nothing to me. Here's the listing for it:

Thanks mate, I saw that one, but its really over priced, or just expensive. I’ve found one from A6 C5 for £100 and one from A8 D3 for £40. Anyway tomorrow I’m going to test fit the one from D3, so I’ll keep you updated.

EDIT: So I want to confirm that the D3 steering wheel DOES NOT fit to D2 steering rod. The D3 steering wheel got a lot bigger whole.

Now I’ll have to try the one from A6 C5, hopefully it will fit.
