The one benefit of owning a 3.7

Got my insurance renewal quote today, £212.80 :D

Can't quite beat that, just paid £215.04 for my S8. I can afford that extra £2.24 pa.

Naturally insurance premiums are not on the consideration list when owning these cars, but it's great that they can be so low. And your price is amazing +++

To be fair I pay extra on top of that for NCD protection and legal and breakdown cover. But that's the premium with maximum NCD which I have.

Both very good premiums. Mine wasn't too bad at £299 including legal, hopefully it'll be a little cheaper again this year after shopping around.

Only £266 here including NCD protection and Legal cover.

Yikes! £378 last August for mine. Fully comp. with protected no claims, driver only. Will rise to at least £450 this year because I told them I was 'unemployed' and not 'retired' as they had on my previous details.

Are you sure you aren't a "house keeper" rather than unemployed?

Technically speaking mine should be something like 'medically unfit to work', but who knows what effect that would have on my premiums?

I was told the increase from 'retired' to 'unemployed' was because as 'unemployed', I would be driving more!

Another benefit for all of us 3.7 owners is that because the 3.7 gearbox is fractionally narrower than the 4.2 gearboxes, then an MJ can *just about* get to the bolts to change the steering rack through the wheel arches without taking the whole engine out :D:
