The fire breathing Cobra was said to be un-mastered and that no one had ever managed to drive one to the limit, as it would snap it's fingers and kill you. Below is not someone getting killed but a rather embarressing moment.

Just so perfect in every way. Looks fantastic in pictures and hundreds of times better in real life. Even my 12 year old son said 'yeah, I get it' without prompting, when he saw his first one in the flesh.

Ice cold looks and sound.

Its only negative, whilst also being strangely cool, is that it caused the introduction of the 70mph motorway speed limit..... Although I'm sure if it didnt, something else would have.... +++

I always thought that it was an E-Type in which someone took advantage of the newly built M1 and, totally understandably, tried out their new toy ? may be I'm wrong though.

However, the following site suggest it WAS the AC Cobra.... so I guess IT may be right.

Call me a "purist" but I prefer the original AC cobra 289 (not the wide shelby 427)

It's the one with all the history behind it :)

Plus my dad has one-I keep blowing the gearboxes.....whoops :P
