2002 D2 S8 For Sale

Another highly regrettable sale but Mrs303 has always had a Range Rover (I know) on her bucket list. After she was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year I feel compelled to make a gesture towards getting her one, as much as it pains me.

The car...

June registered 2002 D2 S8 in rare Dolphin Grey with equally rare Aqua full leather interior. Don't let the name fool you; it's like gunmetal to my eyes and the two together look fantastic. Hidden X-Carlink iPod connection in the glovebox, CD Changer still in the boot. Full size spare, tools, owners manuals and first aid kit all present.

First owner had it 11.5 years, then I bought it. Only 2 owners from new; I'm the second. Originally bought from the local Audi dealer, it's been around Norwich all it's life.

121,000 miles, full service history. Cam belt, water pump, thermostat all changed less than 5000 miles ago. Gearbox flush, oil and filter change last summer and only driven approx 3000 miles since. MOT until March 2016.

Full service history and no-expense spared maintenance with receipts. Everything works. Complete with the latest Sat Nav DVD available - 2013 from memory.

Brand new brakes all round fitted 2 weeks ago; new OEM discs and pads on the front; brand new callipers, pads and discs on the rear. Alloys were refurbished in August.

Looks absolutely gorgeous and I'll really, really miss it. Any inspection welcome, any questions please ask.

I'm asking £4750 and would love to see it go to a forum member.

Sorry to hear this. I remember this S8 - it's a beautiful car, and it'd be nice to see it go to a good home on here (then you can keep any eye on it… ;) ) - and after all, it's only metal, leather and other bits: some things is life are much more important. Good luck with everything.

Thank you.

The outlook is positive so this time next year it will be history and hopefully she'll be pottering about in a RR. I was in two minds whether to keep this and sell her Jetta but having an S8 as a runaround seems little extravagant and wasteful.

Seems like a few months since you bought this car, it's absolutely stunning and has only improved while in your ownership, it's a credit to you +++

Sad circumstances for selling her but good luck with the sale. I'd love to own a pair of grey S8's, even for a little while, but my marriage wouldn't survive my wife being dropped to third place in my priorities ;)

Thank you again. i didn't want to mention the circumstances but it does illustrate it's genuine sale and not because the car is on the verge of going pop :)

I bought it in Feb 2014 so I haven't even had it 2 years :(

+1 from me for all the comments.
Any extra comment from me would be superfluous. +++

At last a proper, good D2 S8 for sale!

Now can I think of any reason why I would need two of them....

Phil303 17th November 2015 05:40 PM

Keep one for best?

Keep the most reliable as the Range Rover 'will' let you down when you most need it.

There is of course a secret to owning a RR...Don't let it know you're mission is important ir that you're in a hurry.

Always buy/fit genuine LR parts, they last much longer, fit first time and are cheaper in the long run

Lovely S8. GLWTS
