Westfalia Tow Bar

I'm on the lookout for an aluminum Westfalia tow bar.

Like the one in the picture.

I'm after the lock/barrel knob thingy to replace mine. So the actual swan kneck could be for any car but it has to be Westfalia and ideally aluminum to keep colours right.

D3 is the only Westfalia I've ever seen with a ally swan neck. All the other Audi / VW ones I've ever seen are Steel.

I don't fancy your chances on this one, but wish you the best of luck !

I have the A6 version on mine. Bought from Paul on here. Just to confirm it fits.

I was super surprised at the idea the A6 / A8 might be interchangeable, its very unlike Audi / Westfalia to do that....

The photos attached are from two different D3 tow balls. Notice, they are nearly 50% longer than the one in the photo you uploaded, so whilst what you have might click in, I suspect the trailer coupling is quite close to the bumper.

Worth bearing in mind if you are seeking a replacement to use +++

I know and not expecting it to fit.
I want the knob/lock off it.

They are removable, so I'll pull it out and swap it over.

Yeah, I got that - It was more for in x months time when someone stumbles across the thread and thinks they've just double their chances of finding a towball that will fit +++

Didnt think of that.

Just for future the reference the A6/allroad swan neck fits and functions very well.

I have probably towed caravans and trailers thousands of miles now since fitting it.

It probably would be better being a bit longer, but is fine as is. (That’s what she said):)
