If that's the cause, yes. It's somewhere in the appropriate section if you have a D2 S8. But what codes do you have?

you probably want THIS THREAD. just take a look in the relevant sections and there is normally a repair sticky and an upgrade sticky at the top of each section with links to many regularly requested items! +++

Glad someone remembered it was in D2 - Interior Electrics.
Read through it and check what error codes you have and that it's relevant.
As I noted there (after a few pages) if it is just the front pad you can literally just short it out; dead easy and worth trying.
