Odis-S 4.1.3 Audi on a ready made Windows 7 VM

3 Attachment(s)
for anyone who has a clone 5054a interface, here's a fully running VM with Odis-S 4.1.3 up and running with the date fiddled so it'll never expire (i think).

Also has Elsawin on there with the Audi Data loaded, the login is user/user

i too like vcds, but also like the guided fault finding in odis, along with all the manuals.

just thought i'd share...

included is VMware Workstation Pro 12, and WinRAR incase you don't have it.

Albert

Edit:Replaced torrent file, appears it was faulty

For us novice what does this do?

Albert_Swafega 31st December 2017 11:08 PM

Basically it's a virtual computer which you can run in a window with the software provided.

On that computer there is ODIS, Audi's equivalent to VCDS with, "Guided fault finding", so when a fault is found, it'll advise of the probable fixes, and how to do them, though the on-line services access is unavailable without an Audi login, but still very useful without.

Then, the Elsa software is basically a Haynes manual for all Audi's, and it's what their "technicians" use, words & pictures.

Any chance someone could post the attained files for those of us who don’t torrent? Thanks

I downloaded it early yesterday, but as Albert says, it was corrupt. I've just started downloading it again. I can upload it to Mega if that helps. Not sure where else to put it as it's 16GB in size.

As steamship says, it's massive (as small as i could make it), i've only posted it here, so i wouldn't worry about utorrenting it, my MEGA is too full to put it there, and being a Yorkshireman, i'm not paying for more then the free 50GB.

Thought this would be the easiest way to share it

Small world?

I've already downloaded the VM via torrent and like a good chap, I'm now seeding. Left it seeding overnight and saw that traffic was destined for a Northern Ireland geo-IP address.
The only issue I had with the VMDK files getting them to run under VirtualBox - the key is to select probably the smallest .vmdk file named 'Windows 7 Odis-s016.vmdk' (that contains the embedded information to link to the other multiple larger .vmdk files). If you select the first one as I did, it will complain about version not supported.I previously had ElsaWin v4 running under XP so this version of v5.3 running under Windows 7 seems a worthwhile upgrade.

Hhmmm! I wonder who that could have been. :D

Currently sitting on my NAS seeding away.

I'll put it up on Mega (which might take a while) so those not into BT can access it, and link to it when done.

OK, finally, the link to MEGA as an alternative download to the torrent Albert posted: https://mega.nz/#F!44wmTKQZ!S0zCWbIuQnkk0__Ye5PlpQ

It is 16GB in size, so will take some time downloading.
