a8 d3 1st postion ignition

as above has any body been able to find one or a live only when radio cd etc comes on
at the moment my subs and other links I have on the car are switched on. when term 15 comes on ie open a door or just kicks into life and of course this does not do wonders for the battery
any help would be +++

The radio etc are on a T30 feed and are switched on off by the energy manager via CAN. The T15 relay is under the steering wheel. I think some people have made another T15 relay in the boot by using the T15 from the parking aid for the coil switch.

I don't know how the systems are wired up on the D3 but on the D2 I discovered that, in order to run the CD changer, there's an "always live" in the cable to that (so you can eject cartridges etc.) and a "RNS on" 12v feed as well.
The latter is live when you turn the RNS on by whatever method - e.g. ignition or just the "on" button without ignition.

I used those, via a relay (and fuse), to power my DVB-T tuner. The same supplies also run my XCArLink unit.

Maybe the D3 has some similar and accessible circuits?

been all over the car to find an acc point did the wifes 2005 a3 ok via ign sw taking a feed from the module under steering column
more difficult on d3 as I don't use key because of finger print start
I'm just wondering if the aerial amps switch on with radio and not term 15 or 30 have to have a look
interested on what you guys have done with extra relays
I also bought a can control that is supposed to give an ign output but it could not talk to the a8 can signal so another 50 quid wasted :mad:
the joys
