Ring round your local indy specialists to see who has ODIS - I know one local to me who charges £20 for online hookup, plus 0.3hr for adapting the software and coding in a retrofit RVC so total of £45

I have had it done twice. Once by the dealer when it was in for the MOT they did the MP3 drive for about £25.. A few years later, they refused to do it for a used cluster - took it down south to be done by an indy who had the Audi VAS system. It took him 5 minutes and does it to any module that is in CP, they can't choose specific ones.

If it happened again, I would probably go to the dealer and say it happened after a flat battery and the AA said take it to the dealer to remove CP.
The way they remove it is by reading fauly codes, then Guided Fault Finding of the codes it sets which ends in clicking Remove CP, it then scans every module clearing the CP. It is quite easy and they shouldn't charge much, especially combined with an MOT or similar.

You'd obviously need to take the car to them - they're called Camspec and they're on Manor Royal, a few doors up from DS Autowerks (David is a member on here and is well recommended but doesn't yet have ODIS).

What is required? ODIS and any online connection or an account with Audi Germany?

I believe you buy the cable and software to connect for about £1k then there's options around pay per use or pay per day depending on likely throughput of customers
